Jackie Cannizzo
Originally from Syracuse, New York Jackie began playing golf at the age of 10, influenced
by her parents who are avid golfers. She also credits PGA Professionals Joe Tesori,
Craig Harmon and Dr. Rick Jensen as mentors. Jackie competed in many amateur and
junior events before attending college. Jackie attended college at Florida State
and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she received a Bachelor
of Arts degreen in Communications.
After college, Jackie pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a professional golfer.
She spent many years playing in PGA sectional events, The Futures Golf Tour, The
European Golf Tour, and The United States Women’s Open where she was the first PGA
member to play.
Jackie has been a golf coach and PGA member since 1989. Her teaching and coaching
experiences have encompassed private clubs, internationally and golf schools. In
these venues she has instructed players from beginning golfers to tour professionals.
Jackie is very active in promoting junior golf and is currently the President of
the Georgia Junior Golf Foundation. She serves on the Georgia State Golf Association's
Girls Junior Golf Committee and she is the Director of Junior Golf at the Country
Club of Roswell.
Jackie was awarded the Georgia PGA Junior Golf Leader for 2005 and has been nominated
for the PGA National Junior Golf Leader in 2007. She is ranked in the top ten list
of the best teachers in golf in the state of Georgia by GOLF DIGEST magazine. She
has been nominated for the top 100 teacher list by GOLF magazine. She was also named
to the Top 50 Teacher list by US KIDS GOLF.
Jackie is passionate and committed to the growth of the game of golf and enjoys
the game so much that she makes much effort to encourage more people to learn the
game. Jackie believes that with the right coaching anyone can play the game of golf.
She believes that coaching is more than teaching swing mechanics, it's about helping
students learn better, train better, understand their emotions, understand how to
score and how to be the best.
Jackie's Coaching Philosophy
Lisa Chirichetti
Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, Lisa attended Indiana University on a golf schlorship.
She is a class "A" PGA member. Lisa has competed on the Futures Golf Tour as well
as various professional tournaments and won the Women’s Club Professional Championship.
She has over 17 years of teaching experience including teaching for John Jacobs
Golf Schools and Swing’s-the-Things Golf Schools. She has worked and taught in the
North Florida PGA section, the Metropolitan PGA section, and the Georgia PGA section.
Lisa is very involved in Juniors and heads up the LPGA/Girls Golf Club as well as
being an integral part of the Country Club of Roswell Junior Programs and Teaching
programs.
Lisa has recently been added to the top teacher list in the state of Georgia by
Golf Digest Magazine.
Lisa shares the passion and commitment to the growth of the game of golf and hopes
that more women and girls will take advantage of the opportunities that playing
golf offer to them!
